In a brightly lit hospital, the bracelet says patient no. 6079, John Doe; this is all you know when you start your story in The Greenwater Institute. Dark visions bring your lucidity into question and only the doctor’s supply of medication can suppress those who wish to haunt you. Your cell holds souvenirs but no memories, and hidden notes help you unlock the dark events that led to you being institutionalised.
Your descent into Greenwater takes you through a narrative spanning six chapters set in America’s Deep South. Drawing on elements of Southern Gothic, you must navigate derelict swamps and explore run-down motels in an investigation of institutional corruption, religious immorality and murder, which can only be unlocked by searching deep within your own psyche.
A Chair in a Room utilises the immersive power of Google Cardboard and your mobile device to create the experience of you being the protagonist of a horror film. Stood in the centre of a windowless room, you only have the unfolding clues around you to piece together the mystery of what led you to be on a chair in a room.
New story added: Greed. You are a city lawyer heading to the top. As you rise in the corporate elevator each stop reveals a new piece of your sinister story. Laden with profit, denial and corruption, your journey to the top could ultimately prove to be your sharp demise.
A visit from a business partner, and the ghosts of the past, present and future, will leave you to question your conscience and hopefully unlock the happy ending.
